What is Reiki?
Reiki is a spiritual healing practice, originating from Japan. The word ‘Rei’ translates into ‘Universal life force’, and ‘Ki’ ( also known as Chi) pertains to energy. There is a beautiful synergy that exists in life, wherein everything in existence or thought, is at its source, animated by the same eternal energy source. The most optimal condition for healthy Ki is to reach a flow state, liberated from a stress response into that of neutrality, whereby you’re able to access the quantum, where real change and exploration begins.
Our natural environment is a great example of what happens when energy becomes blocked or stagnant (think of what results from a river suddenly cut off or impeded), so too within the human body and auric field. This is where the hands on practice of Reiki comes in. Reiki’s purpose is to help the subtle body balance it’s energetic field and ultimately flow into that of homeostasis (where the rest and digest, para sympathetic nervous system kicks in) in order for the physical body to be able to repair, and eventually do what it was made to do - heal itself! Reiki is a beautiful complementary medicine (though not to be replaced by your allopathic doctor) and can work toward helping to release stress, symptoms of chronic illness, aches and pains, pyscho-spiritual blocks, or simply for deepening your meditation practice and heightening self awareness.
A Reiki session is blissfully meditative and calming. You needn’t do a thing except be open to receiving whatever insights and energy you’re meant to. The Reiki practitioner is simply a conduit for this universal energy to help empower each individual to embody all that you are and wish to be. My energy sessions will be a fusion of all that I have learned from the incredible mentors I’ve been fortunate enough to study from, thus, each meeting will be tailored to your unique energetic imprint to facilitate a sense of ease and expansion of mind, body, and soul.
